Lot’s of festivals

Central primary has been a very busy school in these last few terms. We have been to 3 festivals in two terms.

We have had the Music festival for both choir and orchestra. In the choir class we came in 1st! with our two salms we were very good. In the orchestra class we came in 3rd with our performance of yellow submarine.

We all had a good time at the music festival no matter what place we came in

Our latest festival was for p6 and 7’s. It was the rugby festival. We gave it our all and came in 2nd!

some people enjoyed it more than others but we all had a laugh and that was all that matters.

P4, P5 and P5/6 visit from author

On thursday 21st  January, our class had a visit from an author called Barry Hutchison.

Children

He has written books such as Ben 10,Beastly, and more. he is in the middle of writing a book series called ”Invisible Fiends’.  I would recommend this series of books to ages 9+, judging by the front cover.  Barry lives in Fort William with his wife and two children.  Barry told us stories and why he wanted to be a writer.  One is that “it is the only thing I am good at,” but most of all he said, ” It’s the only job where you watch TV for 12 hours straight and get awsay with it!”  Overall, we all loved it!
